Science is the Discovery of God's Wisdom
Science is the discovery of part of the wisdom of God in His creation of the Universe and all living things. Today man can go to space, discover DNA, mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc. Unfortunately, mankind uses their discoveries to create things which are against the commandments of God. Some of these are seedless fruits (guava, grapes, etc.), change the DNA to create supposedly a better plant, animal or being. Thus, Science is not contradictory to the Scriptures found in the Holy Bible.
The Creation Week
1st Day of Creation In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. .... And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Gen 1:1-5 The First Day of Creation. After God has created the heaven and the earth, He saw that the earth was without form and void. Then, God created water to cover the earth and also the light to divide the day from night.
2nd Day of Creation And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. Gen 1:6-8 On the Second Day God separated the water. One above the atmosphere and the other covering the whole earth, to give a constant and pleasant temperature on the earth.
3rd Day of Creation And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; .... And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day. Gen 1:9-13 On the Third Day God gathered the water together and land appeared. Then He created the grass and tree so that they can reproduce from their own seeds.
4th Day of Creation And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: ... And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Gen 1:14-19 On the Fourth Day, God created the sun and the moon for the plants and for season.
5th Day of Creation And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. ...Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. Gen 1:20-23 On the Fifth Day, God created the birds and the fishes and they are to populate the earth. Only after the birds and fishes had multiplied and filled the earth, will be the end of the fifth day
6th Day of Creation And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. ... So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: ... I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Gen 1:24-31 On the Sixth Day, God created the living things on the land, i.e cattle, beast and creeping things. Finally, God created human in His own image. After creating mankind, God commanded that they should be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. This will mean that, only after mankind has multiplied and fill the earth, will be the end of the Sixth Day. God is still dealing or working with mankind and thus we are still in the Sixth Day of Creation. Only after the creation of Eve, the food for the animals, creeping things and birds was the grass and greens.
Gen 1:3 – 2:3 gives a brief description of the things God created each day with the Seventh day as the day of His Rest. Because the Hebrew language has no verb, thus it has no tense. Translation of the Hebrew language into another language is based on the format of the writing and the way the translator understands the text. We know from what we see around us in this world that the first 5 Days of Creation has already come to pass (Mankind was created on the Sixth Day). Today, mankind has already been on earth for about 6,000 years. At this very moment, we may still be living in the Sixth Day of Creation and approaching the Seventh Day, that means God has not taken His Rest yet. The only time when God can rest will be after the devil and his cohorts, false prophets, Hades, Death, all unrighteous, wicked and sinful beings were thrown into the lake of fire for eternal damnation.
7th Day of Creation And the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made. Gen 2:1-3 (ASV) God will only rest after all the creations and works are completed. From the book of Revelation, we find that the new heaven, the new earth and the lake of fire have not been created. Thus, His work of creation until now has not been completed and we are still living in the Sixth Day of Creation. The Day of Rest of God will be the Seventh Day of Creation and He hallowed it for it will be the most blessed Day when the overcomers (Christians) become the Bride of the Lamb. Then, there will be great rejoicing in the new heaven and the new earth.
More Details of God's Creation However, from Gen 2:4 onwards, God gave a more detail description of how He prepared the earth so that it will be conducive for mankind to dwell within. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. Gen 2:4-6 Here God showed us that the mist from the ground watered the plants and the herb or grass on the earth. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Gen 2:7 Then, God made man from the dust of the ground and in accordance to His image as recorded in Gen 1:27. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Gen 2:8-9 Then God put Adam into the Garden of Eden. He only planted the trees that are pleasant and good as food. Fruit was the only food for Adam. Other trees (that He created on the Third Day of Creation), which had already filled the earth, He did not plant there. He also planted the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil there. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Gen 3:17-19 After the deception of Adam and Eve, they were driven out of the garden of Eden. Adam has to work hard toiling in the field in order to eat herb (vegetables), and to eat bread (cereals) – Gen 1:29. (No longer do they have fruit to eat daily as when they were in the garden of Eden).
Adaption into New Environments
In the garden of Eden, the food for Adam and Eve were fruits. After they were cast out from the garden of Eden their stable food were cereals and greens. After the Deluge in Noah's time, whereby the layer of water (possibly ice) in the heaven protecting the earth from the deadly rays of the sun fell down to earth as rain during the deluge, meat was added to the diet of man. And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. Gen 9:1-3 God has created man to be able to adapt for survival (In this case the teeth, mouth and the whole digestive system - the appendix has almost disappeared). God has made all creations (including humans) on earth to be able to adapt for survival. Drastic physical body changes are also found in order to adapt to the changing environments and hostile living conditions. No matter how extreme the physical body changes, it still has not deviated from its original kind. This is adaptation and not evolution. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. Gen 1:30 The food for the animals, creeping things and birds which was herbs (the grass and greens) only, may have changed to meat for some animals and birds after the deluge.
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. Gen 4:1-2 Eve gave birth to Cain and then to Abel, from now on mankind began to multiply until today and it is growing at a fantastic rate. From the above Scriptures, God has not rested at all since the creation of Adam and Eve.
History of Mankind
Since mankind was created 6,000years ago, then a Creation Day must be more then 6,000 years. To an eternal God, time is meaningless. A minute to Him is as millions or billions of years to us mortals. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Pet 3:8 Coincidentally, the Devil will be bound and cast into the bottomless for a thousand years (one day according to this verse), and during this period mankind will be free from the Devil's deception and influence. Indirectly, God can take the one day rest from His work and dealing with mankind. Here, we see the importance of God's rest after the six days' work.
Interesting Observations
Sabbath day	All mankind can work for 6 days and on the 7th day is the sabbath - it is his rest (Exo 20:8-11; 31:15)
Sabbath year	Land is to be tilled for 6 years and the 7th year is the sabbathic year - rest for the Land. (Lev 25:1-5)
Jubilee Year	After the 7th sabbaths of years (ie. seventh of seven years or 7 x 7 years = 49 years), will be the year of Jubilee (50th. year). It is a sabbathic year for the land and also all properties must be returned to the original owner. (Lev 25 :8-13)
Sabbath millennium	Since one day is 1,000 years to God, then the 6th day will be the 6,000 years. The Millenium Rule of Christ whereby the Devil is bound for 1,000 years, can the be sabbath for God in His dealing with mankind. Note:- This is not the 7th Creation Day Sabbath.
More Creation to Come
The New Heaven and the New Earth From the book of Revelation, we find that the new heaven, the new earth and the lake of fire have not been created. Thus, His work of creation until now has not been completed and we are still living in the Sixth Day of Creation. The Day of Rest of God will be the Seventh Day of Creation and He hallowed it. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Rev 21:1-3 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Rev 20:13-14 God created the New Heaven and the New Earth for the Bride of the Lamb, His servants and His people and angels . They will be with Him in this everlasting rejoicing. He will also create the lake of fire for all those cast into it including Hell, Death and the Devil and his demons. This will be the everlasting damnation for these wicked and unbelieving. This will be the final creation of God – the New Heaven and the New Earth and also the lake of fire.
Only after God has completed all His work in creation will He rest. Thus, the 7th Day of Creation will be after the creation of the New Heaven and the New Earth and the Lake of fire and also after the Great White Throne Judgment. Only then will be the 7th. Day of Creation whereby He rested.
One Creation Day
A day to God is as a thousand years or possibly as a million years or even as a billion years. Time stand still when we talk of eternity. However, for mortal like us our life span is just only a few score years. God in His wisdom, when He created the heaven and the earth, devised the heavenly bodies to be governed in accordance to system of Physics, Mathematics, Gravitation, Chemical, Thermodynamics, Biological, etc. Mankind today has fathom into a little bit of His immense wisdom, thus revealing some of these laws. Thus, for the universe to be created in accordance to His wisdom in setting up the existing system according to His laws, then it will take millions and millions of years, which is just as a day to Him. Assuming that a Day of Creation is 100 millions years (or possibly 1 billion years), then the birds and fishes would have been created in the Fifth Hundred Million year of Creation. The beast, cattle and creeping animals and insect would have been created at the beginning of the Sixth Hundred Million year of Creation. Human was only created towards the end of the Sixth Hundred Million year of Creation. If that be so, then a mammal can be dated back up to 1 hundred million (or 1 billion) years and the fishes and birds 2 hundred million years. The Ice Age, tens of millions of years ago, wiping out all those dinosaurs, etc. can be a reality. God prepared this earth until it is comfortable enough for man to live in. Thus, man was created only 6,000 years ago out of the hundreds of millions of years of creation. At the end of the 6,000 years (6 days), the Devil will be cast into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years (1day), when all human being will rest on earth with the King of kings as the Ruler. Human history of 7,000 years is only just a fraction of a second to God, and it should be at the end of the Sixth Day of Creation. At the end of the human history on earth with the creation of the new heaven and new earth and the lake of fire, also ending the Sixth day of Creation, God will have His Rest after the Devil and all the unrighteous and wicked beings are thrown into the lake of fire for eternal damnation. He will enjoy His Rest in the new heaven and new earth with the angels and the saints, who had overcame the deceptions and wicked schemes of the Devil. There will be much joy in the celebration of the victory of our Lord Jesus at the cross, leading to many overcomers in Him entering into the Kingdom of God. The Bride of the Lamb will be revealed and the wedding feast will be celebrated on this Day of Rest. This is the Rest, God is looking forward to and He blessed and sanctified it. There is no truth in evolution. Up to date, there is no evidence nor has anyone proven that a lower being can evolve into a higher being or vise versa. It is the devil who has succeeded in deceiving mankind. It is wrongly classified as science and is taught in schools and institutions of learning. Evolution is heresy for it destroys the very existence of the Almighty God. Because they could not answer the findings of skeletons of mammal dating back over millions and millions of years, they resorted to the theory of evolution. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Rev 5:12 The Bible is infallible, Amen.
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. 2 Pet 2:1-3
