This is the most controversy topic resulting to Pre-trib, mid-trib, pos-trib, pre-millennium, etc. Rapture. Arguments and debates this two thousands years between Christian Theologians, Historians and Church leaders result to greater divisions. I thank God that all these discussions and teachings of End-time events were futile for God Himself told us so. No one can understand the End-time events unless he is living in the End-time era. Therefore, all old teachings on End-time events must thrown away.

"But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." Dan 12:4 (NKJ)

With so much revelations of End-time events, even Daniel was not allowed to understand them. And only during the End-time will the mystery be revealed.

Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, "My lord, what shall be the end of these things?" And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." Dan 12:8-9 (NKJ)

Daniel (considered as one of the three righteous men by God), when he requested to understanding his End-time revelations, was refused by the Lord. God reconfirmed that the End-time mysteries will only be revealed in the End-time era.

End-time Mysteries will only be revealed in the End-time Era,
thus all old teachings of End-time events are to be discarded.

Jesus Revelation of the End-time Era

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" Matt 24:3 (NKJ)

The disciples privately asked the Lord when and what would the signs of His coming and the end of the age.

The Seasons of Jesus Coming

And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many." Matt 24:4-5 (NKJ)

The Lord immediately warn them of deceptions (heresies) by false Christs (misled Christian and church leaders -especially those highly revered). This will be the greatest peril in the End-time era.

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet......"Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Matt 24:6-31 (NKJ)

Our Lord continue to tell them of the events leading to His coming to collect His saints at Rapture. This will be found in verse 6 to verse 29. Verses 30 and 31 discribe the scene at His appearance and also at Rapture. All these verses only tell of the Seasons (what signs) of His coming.
His disciple also asked Him of the Times (when) of His coming.
Let us look at the next few verses to see whether our Lord has given any indication of when He will come for His saints.

The Times of Jesus Coming

"Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near." Matt 24:32 (NKJ)

To understand this parable, we must first of all understand the few parables concerning the fig tree. Only then can we know `When'.
|
"So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-- at the doors!" Matt 24:33 (NKJ)

Having understood the parable of the fig tree in Matt 24:32, and having seen the events coming to pass, then the end is near.

"Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place." Matt 24:32-34 (NKJ)

Our Lord revealed that the last generation (Endtime generation) will begin when the fig tree puts forth leaves (a mystery to solve)

When will the End-time begins ?

Daniel was a prophet of God and He was even able to tell the dream that King Nebuchenezzar had the night before. God showed him many future events that were fulfilled. The prophecy concerning the wars and events between the Northern and Southern kingdoms recorded in Daniel Chapter 11:1-39 was so accurate that the Agnostic Historians suggested that the book of Daniel was written only after all those events mentioned were fulfilled during the Roman Empire.

"At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through." Dan 11:40 (NKJ)

According to the prophecy given by Daniel almost 2,500 years ago, the end time will only begin when the Southerh kingdom (Israel and/or Egypt) attack the Northern kingdom (Iran, Iraq, Syria, etc.). However, the Northern kingdom will conquer the surrounding nations and also Jerusalem.

Confirmation by our Lord

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority." Acts 1:6-7 (NKJ)

When the disciples asked the Lord whether it is the time of the end to restore the kingdom od Israel, He plainly told them that it is the Father's authority to keep the mystery of the End-time till the time of the end.

Revelation to Paul concerning Time and Seasons

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 1Thes 5:1-4 (NKJ)

This revelation that the Day of the Lord (Rapture) will come when most of the Christians are sleeping and they will be caught just as though the thief had stolen, destroyed and killed all their household. This is instead a very sad occasion for the nominal, worldly, carnal, misled and sleeping Christians.
However, watchful and godly Christians will be raptured with the Lord at His glorious coming.
